"Taking Australian Country Music to the World"

Produced and hosted by multi-award winning, Australian singer songwriter Connie Kis Andersen, the popular weekly radio program SHOWCASE AUSTRALIA is a one-hour show introducing listeners to radio singles, new releases and charted hits that are currently at Australian country radio by Australian artists - signed and unsigned - well known and emerging.

On air since September 2011, Showcase Australia’s mission is to take Australian Country Music to the world and provide a well-rounded reflection of the country music industry in Australia.

With so much quality music regularly released to Australian Country Radio by Aussie artists, playlists are rarely repeated within the month, providing a fresh perspective to keep audiences engaged and entertained.

The program is broadcast world-wide through the following online and terrestrial networks:
  • Beachlife Radio Network (Florida, USA)
  • Country Music Radio Nashville (United Kingdom, Europe)
  • Canarvon 102.9 FM (Western Australia)
  • Fame Music Radio (Rhodesia, South Africa)
  • Gin Gins Own 104.9fm (Queensland, Australia)

  • Radio Waves International (France)
  • Seymour FM 103.9 (Victoria, Australia)
  • Sound Machine Radio (USA)

  • 97.7 Tasman FM (Tasmania, Australia)

  • WLRE (South Carolina, USA)

Programming format / rationale:
The program format features new and current releases to Australian Country Radio, country singles that are presently charting in Australia, some select ‘alternate’ country, some Australiana and the occasional personal favourite/past hit is included.

Please note
: These are singles that have officially been released to Australian country radio by Australian artists through a recognised distribution service provider (DSP).

To keep the program fresh, playlists on any one network are not repeated within the month.

Preferences for song selections lean towards original material in order to reinforce the growth of the genre.  However, the valuable contribution that country classics have made, is not entirely discounted and new renditions of these songs released by Australian artists are also periodically included.

Where an upcoming Australian country music festival, awards presentation or special event is approaching, the music of the artists who are involved in that occasion, or who have made any final nominations, may also be considered for airplay inclusion.

Testimonials:
"When I was looking for a new presenter for our Australian show I met up with Connie on a trip to Nashville. I knew from talking to her she would have the right voice and the knowledge of other Australian Music would be second to none. Her programme is one of the jewels in our crown and has a great following on CMR Nashville."   Lee Williams, CEO CMR Nashville

"Connie Kis shows a commitment to her work and our listeners thoroughly enjoy her program; 'Showcase Australia' on ICRadio. In fact, she was featured as our DJ of the Month on our website. The Australian music industry should be ecstatic about the promotion that Connie is giving Australian country artists."   Stu Frith, Station Manager, ICRadio
